Implanon NXT education and simulation practice at SHV consists of one hour and 30 minutes of online modules followed by 20 minutes of Implanon NXT insertion and removal simulation practice on model arms under supervision (via Zoom)

This intensive and comprehensive course for doctors provides training for excellence in the delivery of sexual and reproductive health in primary care. Registrations close 4 days before the start of the course. A 3-hour mini-audit activity is also available.

Intrauterine Device Insertion Train the Trainer course is a mixed methods course with a 6-hour self-paced online eLearning module followed by a 1-hour virtual workshop as well as a review and feedback on your first training session.

This course provides medical practitioners with an introduction to Women’s Reproductive and Sexual Health with an aim to provide foundation skills using practical, relevant, hands-on learning. It has a strong focus on physical examination techniques and communication skills.

SHV's IUD insertion course is suited for experienced GPs and NP's who are wanting to provide IUD insertion to their patients, and who will have at least 10 IUD insertion patients per year. Online learning can be started at any time of the year with placements available once online modules are complete
