Course overview
This 6-hour interactive course is for doctors, nurses, midwives, Aboriginal Workers/Practitioners and allied health professionals wanting to develop or update their understanding of pregnancy choices and abortion care – specifically medical termination of pregnancy. You will gain in depth knowledge of the care pathways necessary for unplanned pregnancy and abortion and the clinical knowledge required to support someone through a medical termination of pregnancy.

- Abortion care in context - history and society
- Medical termination of pregnancy assessment and consultation skills
- Medical termination of pregnancy complications
- Follow-up care post medical termination of pregnancy

- Supporting client's decision making

This course is open to doctors, registered nurses, registered midwives, Aboriginal Health Workers/practitioners and allied health professionals.
