This course provides medical practitioners with an introduction to Women’s Reproductive and Sexual Health with an aim to provide foundation skills using practical, relevant, hands-on learning. It has a strong focus on physical examination techniques and communication skills.

Course Overview
The course comprises:
- Approximately three hours of online pre-learning (accessible two weeks prior to course commencement)
- One-day face-to-face workshop
- Approximately three hours of online post-learning
- Our Contraceptive Implant education and simulation course can be included as an add-on to this course
Course content
- Taking a sexual health history
- Cervical screening
- Breast examination
- Speculum and pelvic examination
- Consent to medical treatment and mandatory reporting
- Violence against women
- Unintended pregnancy options
- Sexually transmitted infections
- Menopause
- Contraception

- This course is open to doctors.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Accreditation
RACGP CPD Accredited Activity 13 hours.
This activity has been approved for RACGP Rural Procedural Training Grant: Obstetric grant (1 day).
If Contraceptive implant training is also completed this would be an additional RACGP CPD Accredited Activity 2 hours (1 hour EA and 1 hour RP).
Cost
$600 (GST free) for the Women's Reproductive and Sexual Health Course.
$755 (GST free) for the combined Women's Reproductive and Sexual Health and Contraceptive Implant Education and Simulation courses.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are provided.
