Intrauterine (IUD) Insertion and Removal Theory

This course is for health professionals who would like to complete theory education prior to organising their own clinical training in IUD insertion and removal.

Description

Course Overview

The IUD insertion and removal theory course is a 6-hour self-paced online learning course. The training is designed to provide the theory component for practitioners who wish to go on to train to be able to provide IUD insertion and removal. If you are interested in an Introduction to IUDs for your professional development or if you will be assisting an IUD inserter please see our Introduction to IUDs eLearning course.

This course does not provide competency in the insertion of IUDs. Participants need to organise their own clinical training.

If you are interested in completing clinical training at SHV please enroll in the IUD insertion course and not this theory course as the insertion course includes the same theory modules.
